Dr. Pam Love Manning On Wine About Books

"I Want My Vagina Back" is such a timely book because it propels us to a level of comfort, awareness and much needed sobriety to authentically dialogue about our vaginas without fear of ignorance. The more we learn, respect and cherish our vaginas, the more we can teach others to value our vaginas as well." Sharon D. Jones-Eversley, DrPH, Relevant Solutions, CEO, Townson University, Assistant Professor

As of this moment, I still have not gotten through the book because every message and story seems to touch me in such a personal way, I have to stop and ponder on each story. The title set me aback but the message in the book has started a healing process for me. A healing I had not realized I needed. "I Want My Vagina Back" sets into motion the thoughts of how do I heal from men I have allowed to take it. Since I was never able to really discuss it with anyone and my girlfriends and closest friends did not know to do with theirs either, we were all running around talking about what we did with them, not the effects of what happened to it afterwards and the continual ripple of effects it is still having in us today.

"Supposedly, we are trained to clean our vagina, keep it smelling fresh, and shave or wax the area surrounding it. Others are taught to intoxicatingly open and close it to control people and manipulate circumstances. Sisters live their lives spiritually, emotionally and psychologically detached from their vaginas."

Join me on Thursday, March 9, 2011, 9:00 p.m. EST as we share time with the gifted and talented writer of this phenomenon, Dr. Pam Love Manning, author of "I Want My Vagina Back". "It's more than a book. It's a movement"

Author CJ Domino, The Games People Play

If a reality T.V. show could be created with one book, this book would win hands down.  The Games People Play hosts characters that pull you in from page 1 and keep you wanting more with each page. Let me give you the synopsis "When people look Mercedes' life this is what they see: a picture-perfect couple living fabulously. But behind closed doors, it's another story as she struggles to maintain the status quo glory. With bitches on her left and ho's on her right, it's a constant fight trying to remain a glamorous trophy wife. Sex, lies and alibis keep them together, but what's done in the dark will never last forever. "

What are people saying about the book
"Grab a glass of wine and be amazed as you fall in love with C.J. and The Games People Play". - Venesha, 5 time literary award-winning author of Mistrss Me, Notorious and Mirror Mirror.

C.J. Domino has done it again, creating another page-turning, drama filled novel. A rising star, this talented writer is surely one to watch. - L.A. Lewis, author of Dirty Little Secrets

This book had me wanting to read it while I was trying to read other books.  It is a true page turner and the characters make you want to have them over for coffee or vodka.  Just depends on the day.

Day 4, Remaining Positive, The Journey Continues, Garth Voisin

"Remaining positive creates on environment for growth and positive results. Your success and failures are based on this."

Day 4, Remaining Positive

In each situation we are presented with, we are afforded the opportunity to choose, respond negatively or positively.  And that choice will determine how we move forward and how our relationships continue to evolve. Garth talks about the 'laws of attraction'. What you put out you will get back.  It it so much easier to 'remain positive'. And the people we associate ourselves with have a very large influence of this factor.

In what ways are you 'remaining positive'?

Check out Garth Voisin and his book at http://www.wix.com/gavfitness/gav

He will be featured on Wine About Books segment, Wanda After Dark, Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 9:00 p.m. EST on Wanda After Dark Radio

Day 2, The Journey Continues, Inspiration

Day 2, Inspiration

"We all strive to become the best we think we can. My goal is to be remembered for who I was and the many ways I impacted others' lives."

Our author seeks to give a 'laundry list' of the thoughts we need to maintain in order to define our lifes' meaning.  What inspires you? What drives you? What gives you meaning?  What defines your purpose? Inspiration should come and be given. Garth states "Take from those who support you and those that do not, as both serve as sources of inspiration."  Journaling is a great idea.  It does not give a list of rules.  You should just write. The Journey Continues gives you the opportunity to write.  So today's question, what is your inspiration?
